Todd Hanna is a board certified, dual-degree (MD, DDS) Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is also a double-fellowship trained Head & Neck Oncologic Surgeon, and a Microvascular Reconstructive Surgeon of the face, head, neck, and jaws. He maintains a private office on East 52nd street, and a faculty appointment at the NY Head & Neck Institute at Lenox Hill Hospital, Northwell Health System (formerly North Shore-LIJ) within the department of Head & Neck Surgery.

Common conditions include squamous cell carcinoma, ameloblastoma, and salivary gland tumors. Dr. Hanna is uniquely double-fellowship trained to treat all cancers and tumors in the oral, head, and neck regions. He is a candidate fellow of the American Head & Neck Society.

Reconstructive Surgery
is reparative stage of treatment after removal of cancers or tumors, or after traumatic injury. Microvascular surgery, specifically, describes the transplantation of one body part, referred to as a “flap”, to rebuild another. The flap must be transplanted along with blood vessels, which are reconnected to blood vessels in the head and neck. This allows the flap to receive a sufficient blood supply and survive. Flaps can be composed of skin, muscle, and/or bone, depending on what the defect requires. Dr. Hanna is fellowship trained in all aspects of microvascular and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, neck and jaws.
